Terms of use
Version of October 7, 2026. This is a translation; the German version is binding.
1. What this is about
The Shopping List at einkauf.zurmuehl.info is a shared shopping list for households. I, Dr. Martin Zurmühl (imprint), offer it free of charge as a private individual. These terms apply to everyone who has an account. How I handle your data is described in the privacy policy.
2. Account and household
- You may register yourself if you are at least 16 years old. Younger people only get an account through an invitation from their household; whoever invites them makes sure their parents agree.
- Whoever registers creates a household and is its first admin. Admins invite members, remove them and make others admins; they are responsible for whom they bring into the household.
- Everyone has their own account. Keep your password secret and do not pass on your access.
3. What you enter
- You are responsible for what you enter (items, notes, photos, names of lists and stores). It must not break the law or the rights of others. Photograph products, not people.
- The Shopping List is meant for private shopping: in the household and with the people you share lists with. Not for advertising and not for commercial purposes.
- You only give me the right to store and process your entries and to show them to the people you share them with, as far as running the Shopping List requires. I do not use them for anything else.
- It is not allowed to disrupt or misuse the service: for example mass automated requests, attempts to get at other people's data, or overloading it.
4. Reporting, removing, suspending
- Report illegal content to datenschutz@zurmuehl.info; the imprint says what information belongs in a report.
- I check reports myself, by hand; there is no automated detection. I only look at your lists when something is reported to me or running the service requires it, for example to find a bug.
- If content breaks the law or these terms, I may remove it. For serious or repeated violations I may suspend or delete an account.
- If I remove or suspend something, I tell you by email what and why, unless the law forbids it. If you disagree, reply to the email; I will then review the decision again. You can still turn to courts and authorities.
5. Availability and changes to the Shopping List
- The Shopping List is free of charge. There is no claim that it is always reachable or keeps particular features. I try to run it reliably and back up the data every night.
- If I shut the Shopping List down, I announce it in the app at least four weeks in advance. Until then you can download your data (Settings → My account).
6. Liability
- I am liable under the law for intent and gross negligence, as well as for injury to life, body or health and under the German Product Liability Act.
- Beyond that I am not liable, as far as the law permits; the Shopping List is free of charge.
- The backup runs every night. What was added since the last backup can be lost in an outage.
7. Ending
- You can delete your account at any time (Settings → My account), admins the whole household (Settings → Household). You can download your data beforehand.
- I can terminate an account with four weeks' notice, or immediately for good cause, such as serious violations under section 4.
8. Changes to these terms
If these terms change, the app shows it, lists what changed since you agreed, and asks for your consent. Until you agree, the previous terms apply to you. If you do not agree, you can delete your account.
9. Law
German law applies. If you live as a consumer in another EU country, you keep the protection of the mandatory provisions of your country.
